I was skeptical looking at this board because it said it had ddr3, twin PCI-E 2 ports, and runs a nice processor all for about half of what any other board with the same features would cost. It is stable as a rock and I have had absolutely no problems with it from day one. The raid is software enabled, so it takes an extra ten seconds or so to boot if you're using it. Also, the additional drivers found on the cd aren't anything wonderful. The instant boot tool is interesting, and it does work, but it essentially changes your computer so when you tell it to turn off, it instead restarts, and then hibernates, which is good and bad depending on how you like to use your computer. I also tried overclocking, and it worked great with my graphics card (an HIS Radeon HD 5670 IceQ, which cools amazingly), but my processor (an AMD Athlon 2 x3 3.1ghz Rana with stock cooling, which could be the problem, I don't overclock more than just to test), killed the system just by increasing the power 10 percent. Bottom line, very cheap and stable motherboard for a budget gaming computer. With the right parts, you can (as I did) build a gaming computer that can max out everything on ultra in starcraft 2 for under 500 bucks. Hope it works this well for Fallout New Vegas, haha.

Amazing value if you are looking for budget AM3 solution. I'm using it along with x3 720 at 4 cores unlock + 3450 MHz stable @ 1.44v with DDR3 1333 7-7-7-24 @ 1.71v 24/7 rock solid stability.

I purchased this to pair with an AMD Athlon II x3 Rana 2.9ghz processor and 4GB of RAM. I'm running two Radeon 4670 cards on it. Along with a modest Roseville case and Win 7, I've made myself a decent budget gaming rig for about $500.
So far I've had no complaints AT ALL with the mobo. My system has run absolutely stable since day one, including some heavier graphics duties. It's worth noting that I do not overclock my processors and I always run with plenty of fan cooling - I believe this helps with stability in most builds, including mobo heat.
It came quickly from Amazon packed securely. Bonus: the included documentation was clearer than most mobo info.

I chose this board as the foundation for my recent build based on some key factors:
-Brand loyalty
-Gigabyte's "Ultra Durable" design with large heat sinks on the North and South bridge chipsets
-plenty of room for expansion, USB 2.0 and 3.0, Fire wire, SATA and eSATA, Digital and analog audio, 2 PCI express 2.0 slots.
-It just flat out looks cool with the blue theme!
The AMD 790x chipset is very powerful, and this board will allow you to crossfire two video cards. If you're really hardcore, you can opt for a 790FX and crossfire more cards if you desire. I am currently running this board with Corsair PC3-12800 RAM, an AMD 965 BE processor and a single XFX HD 5770 video card. Even an AMD 955 BE would still be plenty of horsepower. Plus this board is built well and can handle the heat when you start to overclock.
I also liked that this did not have onboard graphics as 9 times out of 10 you will disable it and an aftermarket card will be installed. Plus the rear panel has literally every type of connection you will ever need. Even digital Coaxial and Optical audio outs.
There are other great boards available from other manufactures like MSI or ASUS and even Gigabyte, but unless you want to Crossfire more than 2 video cards I recommend you check the specs on this board and give it some thought before you make your decision.

This is essentially a great product, the problem is the lack of USB ports on the back of the mainboard. Works great with windows 7 ultimate. I also wish they had thrown in an ESATA port as well but we can't all have everything. It is a bit pricey and you could probably get another board for a great price but this is the first am3 board supporting quad core and tri sli so if you are looking for all these great features in one mainboard then look no further.

I installed this board with ease I triple checked all connections before turning it on I installed a 650w.PS,a 2.8 Quad Core processor,320Gb hard drive and 2GB DDR2 1066 memory I have extra power for adding I have the Mircosoft flight simulator and the Great Planes Real Flight simulator installed there are no problems running this software with the on board video the case is cool over the power supply the processor heat sink temp is 42 degrees I'am running DVI to HDMI on a 32" flat screen works great this is one fast machine Have A Great Day Chuck

This is a great motherboard, I use my video card so I don't really care about all the video outputs but I do test them and they work great, it has lots of satas and also a nice blue light on the inside, I will definitely recommend this.
The actual motherboard is not red; it's black, which is better.

The first start up was kind of tricky need to press delete to get to bios but its in instruction. haven't used the over clock feature yet need a beter heat sink fan running AM3 3.0 quad core so pretty fast any way. great vaule for the money
