I bought this board, (post to be new) recived the board gave it to the computer store to install into my system, (old board worked off and on) the store is telling me the board looks like it was used, or some one had tryed it, and the install book pages were looked at you can tell when you look and a new book if some one and looked and it, the pages have been folded open, thats what the computer store told me, there have build me many custom computers, there is not a dout in my mind the boad is bad and the person (guye) or what ever he is call, knew the board was junk, its been a week since I email him, this person is not very responible sell, and should be avoided.

Its an ok fan life is short but since upgrades are so demanding, a new motherboard is in the works. Which makes this fan obsolete.

For some reason, these ABit chipset fans stop working. Only from the Amazon Seller was I able to find the replacement fan. Early on with my PC, when this fan stopped turning, I was able to buy from Abit the chipset fan mounted to the heatsink. This makes the replacement of the fan a bit easier than having to remove the three 00, or 0 phillips head screws that hold the fan to the heatsink.



However, since this replacement fan, which costs about $7 is used on various Abit Chipsets, then you can see why one replacement fan would be sold for six chipsets. With some patience, it was easy to remove the fan, then using the same screws attach the new fan. It calls for three screws, but I found that two will adequately hold it in place.



On the web, I did read where the fan may not be absolutely necessary to keep the chipset operationally cool, but I did not want to take a chance, and cook something on the motherboard.



It would seem that ABit would make a better motherboard; however, I see my PC parts vendor no longer carries the ABit motherboard. But times change.
