This is the 2nd 3M notebook privacy filter that I have owned, and this one did not disappoint. Glare is reduced, the viewable angle is perfect, and it attaches cleanly. It fits perfectly on my ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 10.5 Hour Battery Life.
Something to note:
There are two mounting options for this screen. One is with tabs that you stick on the side of your screen that then hang over the edge and hold the filter in place. This allows for you to be able to remove the filter, but also means the filter can shift and occasionally fall out during opening/closing/transit (I used this method on my first laptop screen).
The second method is using four clear sticky tabs to attach the filter directly to the screen. This means that you won't be able to take the filter on and off easily, but it does hold in place really well. You do suffer a little loss of image at the four corners where you use the sticky tabs. It is not a huge loss, but enough to know where the tabs are. You also want to make sure you put them on firmly and get rid of air bubbles or you will have a very noticeable loss of clarity (live and learn).
All in all this is a great product at a great price.

Let me start by saying delivery was very fast. The filter arrived in a big box very protected. I use these at work and this one is not very good. I can turn my screen all the way and you can still tell what I am looking at. Its darker but it does not block the screen, its more of a glare guard. Installing was not fun and very frustrating. Also you have to keep these unsightly stickers on your screen for the filter to stay in place. I got this for my 13.3 Macbook it fits. This filter only fits on the black part of my Macbook. When you stick the stickers on it and slide the filter in place it wont go in. You have to peel the stickers up to slide the filter in. And when you peel them up it moves, so now its not perfect on your screen. Overall this filter is unsightly and annoying. I am going to keep it up for a few days to see how I like it. I had a lot of friends want me to tell them how well it works and now after they have seen mine they said forget it. Like I said earlier if you want a glare guard then get it, if you want privacy move on. This product is cheap, and not worth the money.

Screen works as advertized.
3M only provides few stickers (scotch tape sticker type), and when I close my notebook PC, a provacy screen tend to fall off. Velcro type provacy screen fastening system would be ideal. The 3M privacy screen price is very high and at least 3M should include few more stickers.

This product is a let-down. Technically, it does narrow the viewing angle effectively, making it hard for "neighbors" to view the lap top screen. However, the "installation" is nothing more than attaching flimsly little adhesive strips to the monitor frame! These look bad, hardly work, and won't last more than a few days on the road. Additionally, the filter affects the on-axis screen brightness more than just a little, to an unacceptable level for this user.
This filter is practically useless for the business traveler with a laptop and is extremely overpriced, especially for something that is likely to fail in short order. An appropriate price might be $10 or less.

very useful in a corporate environment where I have to sit in a cubicle in a position that allows everyone to see my screen as they walk by me.
