I bought a HP Pavillion M7750n Media PC (refurb) last year and as soon as the warranty ran out the stock mobo (ASUS A8M2N-LA) started to die. I waited several months before I decided to fix the computer but when I did I wanted the same one that came with the computer so. When I got a replacement mobo from China it was also DOA with simuliar symptoms the original had. Come to find out with a little searching online it seems that this ASUS mobo has had alot of complaints. Needless to say that was $75 waisted and I was not about to spend another $50 to send it back.
After being frustrated I decided to do alot of mobo investigating online and came upon this jewel. It had everything I needed including an HDMI port, digital optical output, excellent onboard video and audio, and a host of other things. The selling factor was that there were no bad reviews for this board. So I decided to give it a try. I'm not the most computer tech savy person in the world but this board was sooo easy to install. Though I had to make a few minor adjustments so that everything would connect.
The ONLY thing that I didn't like was the CPU fan connection, normally this connection is north of the CPU socket but on this board it was southwest. Therefore I had to turn the heatsink and fan clamp at the reverse end of the socket. Since I was using the same HP case I had to cut and splice the power switch, power LED, and HDD LED wires since HP uses one plug for this.
One other thing, when using this mobo in a mid tower, space will be a premium, if you are using s large heatsink and fan you might run into some difficulty with in accessing your memory slots. My advice is to install these first. I tried to get away with installing the PC4200 DDR2 @ 533MHz memory that originally came with the system but the board wasn't buying it so good thing when I ordered the board I got 2 gigs of PNY PC6400 DDR2 @ 800MHz at a great price of $45 also from AMAZON. Coupled that with my stock Athlon 64 x2 5000+ it runs better than new. For the price and performance you won't find a better board.

This is the first Gigabyte board I've ever bought. I actually wanted one of the newer Gigabyte MB's but am actually glad that I made the mistake of buying this one. (Christmas Rush) I bought a couple of AMD AM3 Sempron 140's from another site to use for this board. I didn't know anything about opening the second core on the AMD AM3 Sempron 140 processor, but with a little messing around of the BIOS, I succeeded in figuring it out. Now the processor reads as an Athlon(tm)iix2 4400e. I bought one board for my son and one for myself. My son's board is clocked to 3.53 GHz and is stable. Mine is clocked to 3.28 GHz stable. The board comes with a nice built in ATI Radeon 4200 graphic, but I decided to install a graphic card which is the Diamond 4650PE1G ATI Radeon HD 4650 PCIE 1GB GDDR2 Dual DVI Video Card. They seem to work pretty darn well together. My son loves the graphics. As I am not a gamer, I have plans to use mine to simply watch movies. I bought both the motherboards and graphic cards here at Amazon as they provided free delivery to Alaska. Thank you Amazon.

I have two both are great. Instructions make sense and the parts included are of decent quality.

My first board came with a dead memory channel, which means I was only able to use 2 of the 4 memory slots.
Contacted Amazon, they sent me a replacement w/o waiting for the original one with 2 day shipping. Great service.
Unfortunately second one arrived with same issue.
Dont blame me in comments for lack of knowledge as I can tell when a memory slot is dead.
I did the due diligence before concluding that both boards had issues.
Now I am on another version of Gigabyte with same memory units.
Gigabyte & amazon is great thus 3 stars, but I was really unlucky on that board

I like Gigabyte MBs. I built about 5 HTPCs for me and friends with these boards. The big advantage is that it has Firewire port, and onboard graphics. The flip side, it is has no support for dual link DVI or TV out.
