It's difficult to judge the performance of RAM unless you run specific benchmarks for it. I was having video card trouble and one of the possible causes I found was defective RAM. I ran Memtest4.0 for several hours (I know some people believe you need to run it for days) and the memory passed without any errors (I think it completed 5 or so passes). For the price I'm happy with the 4GB, but when I have a spare $100 lying around I'll definitely get another set of these.

I have used several type of memory for the past 20 years and I will say that within the last 3 years I have never had a problem with Corsair. To make it simple I mean by this is that some memory that are manufactured by different companies with all the same specifications are not compatible with some motherboards which can be a real hassle. With Corsair I've never had a compatibility issue or a timing issue. I had a few dud ones but that is expected with any company with you order several batches per month. This particular model I picked up in my local shop and work flawlessly with the intel board I paired it with.

I bougth this modules memory from amazon by a friend account in September 2009.
This memory is a great advance compare to my old ddr2 667MHz. Stable, great performance, looks pretty cool. I buy this ram for less than $100, today is much more expensive (higher demand because of Core i5?).
Because of its actual price I give it one less star. Overall performance is good at all.
Good memory... consider other options if the price is important to you....If you wish performance, this is it...

These Ram modules were purchased to upgrade the memory in my new 64 bit OS computer. Upon receiving the items I noticed that the heat spreaders had separated from one of the units and were just flopping around in the package. It appears the glue attaching the heat spreaders was allowed to harden prior to attachement and thus separated. Although the unit could have been used without the attached heat spreaders, the constant abrasion of the loose parts against each other during shipping, created a high probability of potential damage.
Item return was easy and the replacement memory was without problems.
I selected Corsair for their good product reputation but my experience did not live up to it.

I built a new gaming system. The 1st set of this memory had an intermittent problem..... After getting system up and running with Windows 7 HP it would at times go into blue screen and do a memory dump and reboot and restore. After determining that one of the memory modules was flaky. I used the return/replacement section on Amazon. They shipped a new set FedEx and it arrived in 2 days [I'm in Alaska]. New set is up and running for past week. Returned the defective set via UPS to Amazon with pre-printed labels from web site.
